Samsung have released the first firmware updates for the new Galaxy Note 2. The firmware updates enables the much anticipated split-screen multi-task feature. Using split-screen feature enables an user to open and use two application at once on the screen. It is similar to the split screen feature found on the Galaxy Note 10.1. But unlike in the Note 10.1, in which split-screen was restricted to Samsung apps, Google apps are also supported in the Note 2. The update also includes a new baseband, as well as an update to Google Chrome. The update version is XXALIJ1.
The first firmwares are specially for France and the United Kingdom.
